Women's Center Mission Statement
To promote the achievement of educational, professional and personal goals of diverse student population through the development and implementation of programs that provide flexible, individualized and supportive services.
The Women's Center provides self-esteem building seminars, networking opportunities, group and individual counseling, job readiness activities and family involvement and support services. Referrals to lawyers, physicians, and emergency service providers are also available. Qualified program participants may also be eligible to receive financial assistance with tuition, books, uniforms or child care.
Women's Center Programs
CCAMPIS - Child Care Access Means Parents In School (CCAMPIS) funds help Daytona State College students who are parents get an education. If you are a low-income parent in pursuit of post-secondary education, you may qualify for child care assistance.
Fresh Start - Our experienced staff will provide assistance, as well as help with the academic training and motivational support you'll need to increase your self confidence, as you make the transition from displaced homemaker to student and/or working individuals.
New Directions - If you are a single parent, displaced homemaker, single pregnant woman, or wanting to explore and plan for entry into a non-traditional career, you owe it to yourself to investigate this program.
Teen Parent Program - The Teen Parent program supports the educational needs of pregnant in-school youth in Volusia and Flagler counties. The program is an opportunity for the high school student to experience college level curriculum with a Daytona State instructor and earn college credit on-site.
